Andrea Olivera

Andrea is a proactive, highly trained and experienced Ayurveda practitioner who provides Ayurveda beauty treatments, wellness services, and certified educational programs. She has had a revolutionary impact on the Spa and Ayurveda industry in Canada with her experience that expands over twenty years. She provides private treatments with open arms as she loves to help her clients. Her clients and students are from all walks of life including competitive athletes, celebrities, professionals and non-professionals alike, including RMT’s, therapists, yoga teachers, business professionals and teachers.

Andrea has a diploma in Ayurvedic medicine. She studied in India as well as North and South America. Her natural talent and nurturing character has been filled with knowledge and skill through direct interaction and education from various renowned doctors of Ayurveda, such as Dr. Upadiya,  Dr. Gupta, Dr. Svaboda and Dr. Lad.  She is an extremely nurturing and intuitive, a multidisciplinary specialist, and a precise observer.  She spits her time between Lethbridge and Toronto. She is an Aveda Educator, Aromaologist, and Director of the Toronto Ayurveda Expos. Many RMTs, Yoga Studios and Spas have incorporated Andrea’s training and services in their repertoire.  Andrea continues to teach at community colleges and private schools such as George Brown College, Humber College, Aveda Institute, and has taught for the Collega for Aveda and the Aveda Civello Network.  Andrea has also created her own Rituals Botanical skincare and perfume line. These products have taken nearly ten years to perfect embodying all of her knowledge, love and attention.

Ali Golbabai

Ali completed his Yoga Teacher Training program through the Bishnu Ghosh Yoga Academy in Toronto Canada and is an active member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists. He was fortunate to complete his training one-on-one with Sasha Shkolnikov,  founder of the first Bikram studio in Canada, as well as the director of the Bishnu Ghosh Yoga Academy in Canada. Ali's approach is founded on the practice of the Ghosh hatha series, use of highly effective Kriya and Tantra yoga techniques, and knowledge he has gained from training and rehabilitating athletes and non-athletes alike.

Ali received his B.Sc. in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University and is a registered Kinesiologist. He has an exercise physiology and biomechanics background including teaching exercise physiology while at Simon Fraser University. He is a published co-author in the British Journal of Pharmacology as a result of diabetes related research on obesity in partnership with the Department of Pharmacology at UBC. Prior to moving to Alberta he enjoyed working as a therapist rehabilitating injured workers, athletes and motor vehicle accident victims. In 2004 he moved to Alberta out of interest to work in the Health, Safety and Ergonomics field. He has a competitive athletics history as an Olympic Weightlifter, was the varsity strength and conditioning coach for the Simon Fraser University swimming team as well as head coach of the SFU Weightlifting team.  Ali is well familiar with having injuries and recovering from injuries including his own recovery path from back, shoulder and knee injuries as result of competitive athletics. He has first hand experience in the balanced approach necessary to practice yoga for short and long term vitality, health and wellness. His humility about the practice of yoga increases everyday as he learns, studies and practices yoga in all its aspects, physical, mental and spritual.
